Life and AD&D
Company-Provided Coverage
We pay the full cost for your basic life and accidental death and dismemberment insurance coverage through Anthem Blue Cross. Life insurance covers loss of life, no matter how, or where it occurs. AD&D (Accidental Death & Dismemberment) provides another layer of benefits to either you or your beneficiary if you suffer from loss of a limb, speech, sight, or hearing, or if you have a fatal accident.
We provide life and AD&D coverage of either $5,000, $10,000 or $25,000 to all eligible employees. A benefit of $50,000 is available for member firms with 6 or more enrolled owners/employees.
Voluntary Coverage
You also have the option to purchase additional life insurance coverage. This coverage is 100% paid for by the employee. You can purchase this voluntary coverage for yourself and your dependents in the following amounts:
- Employees: Increments of $10,000 up to Lesser of 5 x covered annual earnings or $300,000
- Spouses: Increments of $10,000 up to Lesser of 50% of employee amount or $100,000
- Child(ren): Increments of $2,500 up to Lesser of 50% of employee amount or $10,000
